The School of Liberal Arts at Ajeenkya DY Patil University organized a Pune Heritage Walk for undergraduate students, providing an enriching exploration of the city’s historical and cultural facets. Guided by an experienced indologist, students embarked on a captivating journey through the old by-lanes of Pune, delving into the rich tapestry of its history, market dynamics, architectural gems, and ancient settlements.
The itinerary included key landmarks such as Shaniwar Wada, Ghorpade Ghat, Kasba Ganpati, Mujumdar Wada, Lal Mahal, Nana Wada, Bhau Rangari Ganpati, Tambdi Jogeshwari temple, Pune City library, Mahatma Phule Mandai, and Tulshibaug Ram Mandir. Each stop offered unique insights into Pune’s vibrant past, allowing students to witness the city’s evolution over the years.
